An Archives application that manages the information required for acquisition, preservation and description of archival materials
Archives Online is designed by Andornot Consulting in conjunction with the City of Richmond Archives and Archefactual Systems Consulting. It provides databases for managing archival accessions and descriptions. A thesaurus facility for building subject and name access is also provided.
Archives Online complies with the Rules for Archival Description (RAD) and the International Standard for Archival Description (ISAD). A user manual and extensive online help provides detailed instructions for entering material. Descriptions of non-archival material are also easily managed.
Archives Online includes easy-to-use search screens and many detailed reports for generating finding lists, shelf lists, donor lists, hierarchies and photo inventories.
