E-LIBRARY

The E-Library system consists of ready-to-use databases that manage the library catalogue, serials check-in, loans, borrowers and suppliers. It is designed by Information Specialists Ltd for use with TextWorks.

The catalogue database manages a wide range of resources including books, articles, serials and electronic resources like Web sites. URLs can be included as hypertext links, and document and image files can also be referenced from the database. The full text of documents can also be included if required.

The Serials Check-in database manages the check-in, routing and claiming of serials, while the Loans database manages the lending of items from the library. All databases are presented with easy to use search screens and include a number of pre-designed reports.
